Romantic Spots in LA

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, I’ve done some serious Googling, Yelping, and overall web browsing to put together a list of some romantic getaways in LA. If it’s a romantic atmosphere, a breathtaking view, or a creative, thought-provoking atmosphere you and your significant other are looking for, then keep reading. You might find a few ideas to try out the next time you find yourself in LA.
One of the most iconic romantic spots in LA is Perch. It’s the go-to destination for a rooftop setting with a spectacular view and glamorous atmosphere. With the options of indoor and outdoor seating, live music, and a lavish aesthetic, this French-inspired bistro is perfect for a special, romantic night out.
Another restaurant with a French-inspired atmosphere is Le Petit Paris. The Parisian-style restaurant features crystal chandeliers, velvet seating, and an opulent atmosphere. You’ll feel as if you were transported to France as you lounge around and sip on cocktails and eat authentic French cuisine in this French-born restaurant.
If you’d like someplace less crowded and more cozy and unique, The Little Door is a bit of a hidden gem in LA. Featuring Mediterranean cuisine and a candlelit ambiance within a colorful atmosphere, The Little Door restaurant offers a more intimate experience for romantic couples.
For those couples feeling extra romantic and would like to have an unforgettable, candlelit evening, Il Cielo is your place. This Italian restaurant located in Beverly Hills offers fine dining in a quaint, cottage atmosphere surrounded by gardens full of blooming flowers. The restaurant also offers special romantic packages for those who’d like a little more privacy with traces of love and magic lingering in the air.
Couples who’d prefer to experience a restaurant that gives off more of a modern-elegance vibe fused with the 1920’s era should check out Faith and Flower in LA. The airy and open aesthetic with clean lines and an elegant simplicity has a renaissance touch that defines the Faith and Flower. The environment is a fusion of two different time periods that couples can immerse themselves in and enjoy over dinner and cocktails.
Another modern restaurant with a luxurious and sexy aesthetic is 71Above, “the highest restaurant and skylounge west of the Mississippi at 950 feet above ground level.” The sleek lines and sharp edges combined with minimalist furniture makes for a stunning and stimulating atmosphere. Offering American cuisine and an array of delicious cocktails, couples looking for a sexy night out will find themselves awed by 71Above’s ambiance.
A place that is still fairly new to the LA scene with its recent opening in 2016 is the OUE Skyspace LA. Located on the top of the U.S. Bank Tower in DTLA, the OUE Skyspace LA is California’s tallest open-air observation deck at approximately 1,000 feet above the city. It offers a breathtaking, 360-degree view of LA, which makes it a romantic stop for couples who’d like to admire the sunset and city lights. (If you’ve been keeping up with ABC’s The Bachelor, you’ll have noticed Nick Viall had one of his romantic one-on-one dinner dates here.) For those couples seeking a bit of a thrill, the OUE Skyspace LA also offers an attraction called the Skyslide. Built along the exterior of the tower, guests can slide through a completely glass slide while enjoying a 360-degree view of the city at an exhilarating height.
If you’re one of those couples that enjoys museums and has an appreciation for art, The Museum of Contemporary Art in LA could be your place. Housing one of the most captivating collections of contemporary art in the world, The Museum of Contemporary Art immerses you in a stimulating atmosphere with plenty of objects around you for the eye to appreciate. A romantic and peaceful stroll through the museum could be just the thing for you and your loved one.
Lastly, for those of you who’d just like to wind down and relax, Beverly Hot Springs is for you. It is LA’s only hot spring that is 100% all natural and offers individuals a piece of utopia where they can clear their minds and loosen their bodies. Get a massage or just relax in the hot springs enclosed in a cave-like atmosphere while enjoying one another’s company. I’m sure you’ll both leave feeling much more refreshed than when you first arrived.
